My Unusual Valentine's Day

I can pretty much guarantee that my Valentine's Day was not what you would expect. Did I spend a lot of quality time with my husband? No, not really. Thursdays are my least favorite days of the week because he leaves at 6:30 AM & gets home around 9-9:30 PM after class. When we try to be in bed no later than 10, it makes for not a lot of quality time. But don't worry, Friday nights are date nights :)

Even though we didn't spend a lot of time together, Matt still went out of his way and surprised me with some chocolate & a bottle of wine, but not for the holiday. Instead, it was in celebration of my thesis defense!

source; dude- these are amazing. Go buy some and enjoy :)
Yup, I defended my master's thesis yesterday and I passed! I wasn't really worried about it until a couple of hours before & that's when I started getting nervous, but it went well and I got some good feedback. All I have to do is make a few "minor" (haha) edits and then submit it to the thesis office! Yay!

So that is the current update on my life. Short, sweet, and to the point. Much unlike my thesis, all 76 pages of it.

I hope you had a great Valentine's Day and will have a great weekend!

  3. We're having date night tonight too, celebrating Dad's birthday and Valentine's Day at the same time! Made possible by a certain daycare center's Parents' Night Out, which only cost $20!!

  5. Well, I think it was really an unusual Valentine’s Day for you. I can really be a great thing to celebrate about. Passing MA or phd dissertation can be one of the milestones people want to achieved in their life, and it would certainly be good to have something to celebrate about.
